On August 17 and18, visitors to The Morton Arboretum can peruse handcrafted nature-themed artwork from more than 40 Midwest artists, during the Arboretum’s fourth annual Wine and Art Walk.
The juried art show will feature the latest works in photography, wood turning, jewelry, digital and traditional painting, ceramics, and fused glass, from returning artists as well as more than a dozen new artists from across the Midwest. As they walk a picturesque path around the Arboretum's Meadow Lake, visitors can browse the art show while enjoying live music from popular bands Trillium and Frank and Dave.
The late summer blooms and trees offer the perfect setting for this annual display of nature-inspired art pieces,” said Jacque Fucilla, manager of The Arboretum Store. “Walking amid our majestic trees, the Wine and Art Walk provides our visitors with a great way to savor the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of summer.”
Free with Arboretum admission, the Wine and Art Walk will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 17 and 18. Wine, snacks, and other refreshments will be available for purchase.
