Nature is not above playing Halloween tricks! The Arboretum still shows a surprising amount of color under this week's recent snowfall. Maples are dropping yellow leaves, but the oak collection looks especially colorful with tans, russets, some purples, and dark reds. How long the color will last will depend on if there is a deep freeze and strong winds.
This has been an unusual fall color season. Even this late you can still discover stunning maples, oaks, hickories, and sumac all in color together. If you are looking to be immersed in fall's beauty, the East Woods and Lake Marmo areas are right destination. There is still time to visit and see the remaining fall colors.
