The greens of summer are coming quickly to the landscapes and woodlands at The Morton Arboretum.
As the tree canopy fills in with leaves, the main spots to see blooms are the garden areas, including the Ground Cover Garden near the Visitor Center and the Fragrance Garden and Joy Path gardens near the Thornhill Education Center. Blooming shrubs, dwarf fothergilla and lilacs, are highlights. You’ll also see blooming perennials such as Siberian bugloss, corydalis, sweet woodruff, and comfrey.
In the woods, wildflowers are finishing their season of bloom with the pink of wild geraniums and the blue of woodland phlox.
