The Green Island Ficus is a great tropical tree for beginners. The deep green glossy leaves look similar to a jade plant. The goal of this class at The Morton Arboretum is to come away with a tree that has its first initial styling and is on its’ way to becoming a bonsai.Saturday August, 3, 2019, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
This workshop features a selection of field grown Cork Bark Chinese Elm trees. This workshop at The Morton Arboretum will explore the many different possibilities of Chuhin bonsai. Sunday August 4, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to noon.
The Brazilian Rain Tree is a beautiful tropical tree. The bark is very smooth and tends to exfoliate creating multi-colored shades in the trunk.
