  • Practice correct pruning techniques and learn which plants to prune now and more importantly, which to prune later at The Morton Arboretum. Section B: Online component begins: Monday, January 2, 2020 at noon and the In-person session meets: Saturday, February 1, 2020, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Please note: Section A beginning January 16 has been canceled. Please enroll in section B:
  • The Perennial Plant Association and The Morton Arboretum are teaming up to offer a day-long symposium entitled, ‘Garden Companions.’ Some of the best writers and most knowledgeable experts in the business will be here, and you’re invited to listen, learn, and ask questions. Please note: This program is SOLD OUT. Please call the registrar to be added to a WAITLIST. 630-719-2468 ( Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
  • Chicago Wilderness will offer three winter sessions of the Midwest Ecological Prescription Burn Crew Member Training class at The Morton Arboretum. Saturday and Sunday, February 22 and 23, 2020 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or Thursday and Friday, March 5 and 6, 2020 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Learn to identify plants without leaves or flowers. Explore the Schulenberg Prairie and adjacent woodlands to practice identifying native perennials and grasses in winter with a local expert at The Morton Arboretum. Saturday, March 7, 2019, 8:00 a.m. to noon.
