  • Have you ever been as hungry as a caterpillar? Enter the whimsical world of Eric Carle as his characters come to life through stories, games, and crafts at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 1 through 5, or July 13 through 17, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to noon, or June 15 through 19, July 27 through 31, 2020, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Travel back to the dinosaur age! Discover different dinosaurs; learn what they ate, where they lived, and the trees that grew when dinosaurs were alive at the Morton arboretum.   • Build, play, dig, and discover all the things that love mud!   • Put on your artist hat. Paint and sculpt squishy frogs, textured turtles, and slippery fish.Learn about these wetland critters and develop artistic skill at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, August 3 through 7, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to noon, or July 13 through 17, 2020, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
  • How do tadpoles turn into frogs? How do turtles and fish grow up? Together we’ll search for croaking frogs, basking turtles, and swimming fish while we take a closer look at our friends that live in ponds at The Morton Arboretum!   • Are fairies hidden in the forest? Discover woodland plants and animals, create your own fairy, and work together to build a fairy village at The Morton Arboretum.   • From fins to scales fish are fascinating creatures! Discover more about fish and the habitat they live in while you enjoy fish stories, games, and cast a net to find out what fish live at the Arboretum.   • Water your curiosity! With a microscope get an up close look at seeds, leaves, and flowers. Sprout seeds, decorate a flower pot, and explore the gardens of the Arboretum.   • Stripes, spots, streaks, and stealth make animals experts at hide and seek. Uncover patterns in nature, create your own camouflage, and explore how both predators and prey use camouflage to their advantage at The Morton Arboretum. Spend time exploring our latest art exhibit and build your own art from natural materials at The Morton Arboretum.   • Design and build forts inspired by trees. Study trees up close and uncover their unique characteristics. Build a mini tree fort village as a group. Each child takes home their own mini tree fort at The Morton Arboretum. Put your sleuthing skills to good use as you learn signs that animals leave behind and become a woodland detective at The Morton Arboretum.   • Get outside and explore! Set off on a different adventure each day as you explore geocaching, letterboxing, survival skills, and more at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 8 through 12, July 13 through 17, or July 27 through 31, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Uncover alien species that have invaded the woodlands, prairies, and wetlands of Illinois. Learn why we consider these species invasive, how to remove them, and develop ways to prevent their return at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 15 through 19, July 6 through 10, or July 20 through 24, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Can you survive in the great outdoors? Explore native woodlands and wetlands, and gain the skills needed to survive in these ecosystems. Learn navigation skills and how to build a shelter. Set up camp, fish, and make tools to explore and tame the wild. at The Morton Arboretum.   • What can you accomplish when you take on an eco-challenge? Build your leadership skills as you take on team building and STEM challenges in this camp, while exploring the natural world. at The Morton Arboretum.   • Use your nature observation skills and get creative with digital photography. Practice composition, subject placement, close-ups, moving targets, and more at The Morton Arboretum. Monday through Friday, June 3 through 7, 2019, or July 15 through 19, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Put your forest and problem solving skills to the test as you take on daily challenges, solve puzzles, and explore the Arboretum to answer riddles. In teams, campers will create their own “escape room” challenge in the forest! Monday through Friday, June 1 through 5, July 6 through 10, or August 3 through 7, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Capture nature from a new angle! Take the time to play with mirrors, water, shadows, and light in this photography class at The Morton Arboretum. Participants must bring their own digital camera Monday through Friday, June 22 through 26, or July 20 through 24, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
