11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Entry time must be selected when purchasing tickets)
Check in will be in the Bus Lot of Parking Lot 1 (P1) in front of the Visitor Center
The tasting will take place around Meadow Lake, Frost Hill, and the Conifer Trail
Please note: All ticket purchasers must be 21+, and a valid I.D. is required for redemption of drink tickets. Party members under the age of 21 are allowed in the event space.
Savor seasonal wines among beautiful spring blooms at our wine tasting event. Tasting booths will be safely spread out along Meadow Lake, Frost Hill, and Conifer walking paths. Each ticket purchase includes 20, 1-oz wine samples, with more than 80 wines to choose from.
To encourage social distancing, tickets are available every 15 minutes between the times of 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Last call is at 3:45 p.m. and the last pour and conclusion of the tasting is at 4:00 p.m. Arboretum grounds will remain open until sunset for those that would like to remain onsite.
Like something you tasted at the event? Our Wine Tasting partner, Famous Liquors will be onsite from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. taking wine orders for pick up at a later date at their Lombard or Forest Park locations. 10% of all wine sales will be donated back to The Morton Arboretum.
There is no Designated Driver ticket for this event. Non-drinking and under-age guests are able to join Wine Tasting ticket holders along the tasting route but they are required to reserve a timed-entry pass before arriving at the Arboretum.
Although this is an outdoor event, please bring a mask to wear while interacting with wine vendors, when you cannot social distance, or if you decide to go inside one of our buildings to use restrooms, make a purchase at the café, or shop in The Arboretum Store. Attendees will be required to follow the Arboretum's social distancing guidelines. Please visit Know Before You Go for more information.
Will there be a souvenir glass?
No, due to the current pandemic we are not including a souvenir glass with the event. We will be using one-time use, disposable glasses for each pour.
Will there be live music?
In an effort to prevent groups from congregating, there will be no live music at this event.
What food will be available?
Yes, the Ginkgo Restaurant will be open for limited indoor and outdoor seating from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be outdoor concessions available as well. The Ginkgo Cafe will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note: Due to Covid-19, outdoor seating is very limited.
Are Designated Driver tickets available?
This year, because the event takes place during regular daytime admission, no designated driver ticket is needed. Individuals that would like to attend without sampling must reserve a general admission pass. This applies to children as well. Admission must be obtained in advance. No transactions can occur at our gatehouse. Those without tickets will be turned away. Please be sure to coordinate the entry time on admission tickets with the entry date and time on the other person’s Wine Tasting ticket if you intend to enjoy the event together.
Is alcohol allowed in the Children’s Garden?
No, alcohol is not permitted in the Garden.
Can I purchase additional wine samples?
No, there will be no additional samples available for purchase.
Are visitors allowed to remain onsite after the last pour at 4:00 p.m.?
Yes, Arboretum admission is included with your Wine Tasting ticket. Visitors are allowed to remain onsite for the duration of the day. The Arboretum will close at sunset.
