Tasting booths will be safely spread out along the Meadow Lake, Frost Hill, and Conifer walking paths. Each ticket includes 12 - 3 oz samples and a Arboretum timed-entry admission pass. To encourage social distancing, event entries are available on the half-hour, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Last call is at 4:30 p.m. and the last pour at 4:45 p.m. The event ends at 5:00 p.m.

There is no Designated Driver ticket for this event. Non-drinking guests are able to join Fall Beer Tasting ticket holders along the tasting route but they are required to reserve a timed-entry pass before arriving at the Arboretum.

Although this is an outdoor event, please bring a mask to wear while interacting with beer vendors, when you cannot social distance, or if you decide to go inside one of our buildings to use restrooms, make a purchase at the café, or shop in The Arboretum Store.  Attendees will be required to follow the Arboretum's social distancing guidelines.  Please visit Know Before You Go for more information.

Will there be a souvenir glass?
No, due to COVID-19 we are trying to limit contact points and therefore are not including a souvenir glass with the event. We will be using a one-time use, disposable.
Why are you using a single-use plastic cup?
At large events it is very difficult to keep waste streams separate. When using compostable or biodegradable plastic it will only deteriorate slightly faster than a conventional plastic product if all of the composting or recycling conditions are met. This is why we typically try to use reusable materials rather than recyclable, compostable, or biodegradable. Once we can host large events without COVID-19 restrictions we will go back to using glass tasting cups which are completely reusable and more easily recycable.
Will there be live music?
In an effort to prevent groups congregating, there will be no live music at this event.
Will food be available?
Yes, the Ginkgo Restaurant will be open for limited indoor and outdoor seating from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. both days. There will be outdoor concessions available as well. The Ginkgo Cafe will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days. Please note: Due to Covid-19, outdoor seating is very limited. Consider bringing a blanket or chair with you.
Are Designated Driver tickets available?
This year, because the event takes place during regular daytime admission and in areas open to all visitors, no designated driver ticket is needed. Members and guests who are not drinking will need to reserve a timed-entry pass if they wish to join others attending this event. This applies to children as well. Admission passes must be obtained in advance. No transactions can occur at our gatehouse. Those without tickets will be turned away. Please be sure to coordinate the entry time of the admission pass with the entry date and time on the Beer Tasting ticket if you intend to enjoy the event together.
Is alcohol allowed in the Children’s Garden?
No, alcohol is not permitted in the Garden.
Can I purchase additional beer samples?
No, there will be no additional samples available for purchase.
