The run takes place on the East Side road.


Find your inner tree champion at the tenth annual 10K race as you run on a springtime morning surrounded by trees from around the world. Runners will find a challenging course with rolling terrain as they follow the Arboretum's road on the East Side.

Packet Pick-up Information:

Pre-register and pick up your bib number, B-tag™ timing strip, technical T-shirt, course map, and other race information at:
Dick Pond Athletics, 2775 Maple Avenue, Lisle, IL.

Packet pick-up is available as follows:
Thursday, April 16: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday, April 17: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 18: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Other packet pick-up options are available for an additional fee.

Packet Mailing - $10
Your race packet, including race bib, t-shirt and other materials, will be mailed to you before the race week. Final day to select this option is Saturday, April 4.

Race-Day Packet Pick-up - $10
Pick-up your Race Packet at The Morton Arboretum on race day. 


Race Day Information:

AWARDS: Awards can be picked up at 9:30 a.m. at the Packet Pick Up Tent. Awards will be given to the top three overall males and females, as well as the top three men and women in the following age groups: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and up. Overall male and female winners do not qualify for a medal in their age bracket. The top three overall winners, male and female, are determined by gun time.  Age divisions winners are determined by chip time.

GEAR CHECK: Complimentary gear check is available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., across from the Visitor Center main doors. Gear will be checked according to bib number. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please do not check anything of value.

PARKING: Free parking is available onsite at The Morton Arboretum. Please allow plenty of time to park and walk from parking areas. Participants are encouraged to carpool.

PROHIBITED: Motorized vehicles, bicycles, rollerskates, and pets are prohibited on the race course. 

STROLLERS: Strollers are permitted on the course. Participants with strollers MUST start in the back section of the starting line, labeled Runners and Walkers with Strollers. This is very important for the safety of all our runners.

TIMING AND SPLITS: The race begins at 8:00 a.m. All participants must cross the start line by 8:15 a.m. and cross the finish line by 10:30 a.m. Large digital clocks will be stationed at miles 1- 6. Finish line times will also be displayed on digital clocks. 

RESTROOMS: Portable restrooms will be available near the start line. Restrooms are also available inside the Visitor Center and West Pavilion building.

RESULTS: Race results will be available immediately following the race on the Athlinks result site.

WATER STATIONS/FIRST AID: Cups of water will be available at the start and finish lines, and on the course. An advanced Life Support Ambulance will be on-site during the entire event.

WEATHER/EMERGENCIES: The race will take place rain or shine. In the case of emergency, participants will be notified by 6:00 a.m. on race morning via email with event updates. Notifications will also be posted on the webiste and The Morton Arboretum's Facebook page.

Race Day Registration (April 19, 2020)

Pre-Registration Deadlines:

Pre-registration at the Arboretum will close at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13.
Online registration will close at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17.
You can register at packet pick-up but T-shirt availability will be limited.


Race-Day Registration:

Register from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, at the Arboretum’s Registration Tent near the Visitor Center. Please arrive early to ensure proper registration.
