Course description

Celebrate the winter season with a wonderful winter container filled with seasonal branches and colorful twigs. Learn the principles of container design in this hands-on workshop. Your instructor will demonstrate the principles of container design and correct potting strategies. Bring your favorite 6"-12” diameter, no higher than 16" pot and we’ll provide greenery, soil, and hands-on instructions so you can create a complete container to take home.

Bridget Bittman, floral designer

Bridget Bittman has owned her own business, Belle Botanicals, since 1998. She specializes in container gardens for all seasons and fresh floral designs for weddings and other celebrations. Bittman worked at Stems & Twigs in Western Springs for 11 years as a wedding consultant, floral designer, and head gardener. 

Course details

  • Notes: Held indoors. Pre-registration is required. Limit 20
  • Supplies: Bring your own lightweight pot or plastic liner/pot to insert in heavier pot, approximately 6"-12” diameter, no higher than 16". Plus handheld garden clippers and wire cutters.
