Ride the tram with curator Matt Lobdell for an enlightening perspective on the Arboretum’s most treasured trees. Hear tales of the rarest, oldest, and most interesting specimens from the person who knows them best. Matt will share the fascinating history of the Arboretum’s collection, how the Arboretum decides which trees and shrubs to plant, how the collection has changed over time, and how the Arboretum is planning for the future.

Matt Lobdell has served as Head of Collections and Curator of The Morton Arboretum since 2014, where he is responsible for the development of the Arboretum’s plant collections. He holds a M.S. in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Delaware, and is a member of Magnolia Society International's Board of Directors.
