Course description

Wander through the ever-changing array of blooms in our woodlands and prairies to learn how to identify wildflowers such as trillium, mayapple, and dog-tooth violet and hear about their folklore. Bring a friend and enjoy this fleeting spring pleasure, with new flowers revealing themselves each week.

Instructor

Cindy Crosby, naturalist and steward

Cindy Crosby is the author, compiler or contributor to more than 20 books, including "The Tallgrass Prairie: An Introduction (Northwestern University Press, 2017) and the forthcoming "Tallgrass Conversations: In Search of the Prairie Spirit" (with Thomas Dean, 2019) . She is a prairie steward supervisor, a dragonfly monitor, a certified interpretive trainer with NAI, and a naturalist.
