Course Description

Create photographic portraits of exotic orchids in this artistic photography workshop. Under the guidance of your instructor, develop your artistic vision and learn to capture stunning portraits using the vast collection of orchids at Orchids by Hausermann, Inc, the oldest and largest orchid grower in the Midwest.

Begin with a classroom session that covers the best approaches to composition and lighting, lenses, and studio techniques for photographing flowers. Then practice and apply these approaches during a Saturday field session at Orchids by Hausermann, Inc., where you will have access to exquisite and unusual orchid varieties from around the world.

  • Equipment: Please bring A DSLR camera is required, and a flash unit is recommended but not required.
