Course Description
Perennials are plants that come back year after year. Learn about the incredible variety of perennials plants that thrive in the Chicago area. Perennials are a great addition to any landscape, whether your space is big or small, sunny or shady, dry or wet, manicured or not-so-neat. Learn how to choose perennials that suit your needs and give your space the look you want. Get ideas for simple perennial combinations that look great in any yard or garden. Find out what you need to do to care for your plants, including fertilizing, deadheading, and dividing.

Heather Prince is the nursery manager at Wannemaker’s Home and Garden in Downers Grove. She has been a part of the green industry for more than 18 years, including experience at The Morton Arboretum, Chicago Botanic Garden, The Growing Place and The Pizzo Group. She is a trained horticulturist specializing in trees and shrubs with a passion for connecting people with plants.
