Course description

Whether or not you are a big college basketball fan, everyone should be allowed to experience the highs and lows of following your own bracket through a tournament. Participants will be able to see how our native plants and animals stack up to one another in a 64-team, single-elimination tournament. A panel of four experts will come up with 16 species each to go head to head against each other while the audience votes on who the “winner” of each no-stakes match-up should be.  Discover new-to-you creatures native to Illinois or learn new things about familiar wild friends in a fun, rapid-fire tournament of knowledge.

Course number

Cindy Crosby, nature writer and steward; Josh Engel, Red Hill Birding; and Robb Telfer, The Morton Arboretum
