Enjoy the last of the migratory birds for the year. We'll search local waterways for some of the more unusual waterfowl that migrate through the area this time of year, scan for migrating raptors in the skies above. We can also expect to see sparrows and blackbirds still migrating. It's a time of year when the unexpected can happen.
Denis Kania has been teaching ecology and bird related classes for the Morton Arboretum since 1997. When he is not teaching he is bird monitoring at Fermilab or traveling to the friendly corners of the world in search of birds that he has not seen before.
