Course description

Families with Children PreK through 2nd Grade

Family Field Trips: Paint your Plants  Register now
Get in touch with your green thumb, as you learn how plants sprout, dissect seeds, explore plants at the Arboretum, and make a plant painting to take home.  Each family must have at least one adult in attendance, this is not a drop off program.

Family Field Trips: Marvelous Mud  Register now
What lives in the mud?  Take a closer look at mud, dirt, soil and the things that live there, while learning how soil is a building block for ecosystems, then use mud as a building block to create your own art.  Each family must have at least one adult in attendance, this is not a drop off program.

Many creatures build their homes out of wood, including humans!  Explore Arboretum trees and the benefits they provide, then build a forest fort of your own.    Each family must have at least one adult in attendance, this is not a drop off program.

Family Field Trip: Wild Things  Register now
Animals in the wild have many different adaptations to keep them warm, get food, and keep them safe.  Experiment with animal adaptations and then build your own adaptive accessory to take home. Each family must have at least one adult in attendance, this is not a drop off program.
