Fees and Registration
See the Arboretum through the eyes of an expert photographer. Learn how to notice your surroundings with attention to light, angle, subject, and creative interpretation. Begin with a brief classroom session in which instructor Cora Jacobs will share examples of these fundamental elements of photography. Then head out onto the grounds for a walking tour. Learn what catches the attention of a professional photographer and how to capture it with a camera.
Erica Benson has been a professional photographer since 2000 and a photography instructor since 2007. She is passionate about her field and looks forward to sharing her experience with her students.
Cora Jacobs is a photographer who has been teaching at the Morton Arboretum since 2014. Her images have been exhibited both locally and nationally. Her work has been published in South Loop Review (no. 16, 2015) and her book In the Quiet Morning: Reflections on Water Lilies was published in 2013.
