Make your own rustic-chic burlap flag that celebrates the season! In this one-day workshop, learn how to paint on burlap and use stencils to create a personalized design that adds personality to your garden. Finish your 12-inch by 18-inch flag (approximate measurements) with three-dimensional collage elements to add texture and interest. Once you know the process, you can make custom garden flags on your own--one for every occasion. All supplies included!
Lindsay Sandbothe is a painter specializing in acrylic birds on wood. She received her BFA in Art Education from the the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and currently works at the American Academy of Art in Chicago while also painting out of her Highland, IN studio.
- Notes: All flag-making supplies included. Flag fits standard garden flag stakes (not included). Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Bring a sack lunch. Limit 15
