Course Description

Autumn is a season when colors become complex and the textures of seed heads, expiring petals, and leaves emerge, which can present challenges to the watercolor artist. In this two-day watercolor workshop, you will

  • learn color mixing
  • paint the varied textures and surfaces found in late summer and fall plants
  • watch instructor demos
  • get one-one-one guidance from your instructor as you practice techniques

Suzanne Wegener, Freelance Artist

Suzanne Wegener is a freelance artist specializing in natural history illustration and education in pencil, pen & ink, watercolor and gouache. She has a degree in Scientific Illustration and teaches regularly in the Chicagoland area. 

Course Details

  • Prerequisite: Previous experience with watercolor required (Nature in Watercolor or equivalent)
  • Notes: A supply list will be provided. This class will take indoors and outdoors, weather permitting.  Limit 15
