Course Description

The Brazilian Rain Tree is a beautiful tropical tree. The bark is very smooth and tends to exfoliate creating multi-colored shades in the trunk. A female raintree's trunk will begin to flatten and change shape as it matures. The tree has small compound leaves that will shut at night or during rainfall. The material for this workshop is in 3 gallon pots and have 1-1/2 to 2 inch trunks and range from 18 to 28 inches tall giving the student plenty of options to work with. This workshop is geared towards people with some experience with Bonsai. The primary focus of this workshop will be on styling the tree both with wire and branch selection.
