Course Description

Study the characteristics, behavior, and significance of birds as you earn your merit badge at The Morton Arboretum. Investigate the variety and different uses of feathers, beaks, and feet. Learn to identify birds by sight and sound using a field guide. Use binoculars to make skilled observations of birds in local habitats. Build a bird feeder to attract birds to your own backyard.

  • Notes: Homework is required between sessions. This class is designed for boy scouts working on their merit badge requirements  Limit 14. Open to ages 11-17.
