Cultural Requirements: Full sun; moist, rich, well drained soil; tolerates high pH soil; grows on limestone outcrops
Ornamental Characteristics: Named for the yellow internal wood; showy panicles of fragrant, white pea-like flowers in late spring occur every other year; attractive smooth gray bark; bright green leaves turn yellow in fall
Use in the Landscape: Good shade tree for smaller landscapes
