    Create a keepsake, light-up gnome home of your own! Weekends November 2016 through March 2017. Times vary between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

    Enjoy a delicious breakfast at The Morton Arboretum in the scenic Ginkgo Restaurant! Saturdays & Sundays, 9:00-10:45 a.m. The Ginkgo Restaurant will be closed on April 15 & 16
  • Library Exhibit: Plant Hunters
    The exhibit features artifacts from the library’s special collection relating to famous plant hunters, and it explores modern conservation efforts by scientists at the Arboretum. Tuesdays-Saturdays, during regular library hours.
  • A child making mud pies in the Mud Kitchen
    Enjoy creative, unstructured outdoor play spaces, Mud Kitchen near Parking Lot 20 and Word Garden near Parking Lot 13. Daily, weather permitting, 7:00 a.m. to sunset
  • A visitor learning about endangered tree species by using the interactive panels
    Come learn about the gifts that the world's endangered trees give us—and how you can join the Arboretum in saving them. Daily, 7:00 a.m. - sunset

    Can you find all of the gnomes hiding in The Morton Arboretum's Children's Garden? Daily November 2016 through March 2017, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • A vegetable garden with veggies and flowers
    Whether you are starting your first vegetable garden or incorporating food plants into an existing ornamental landscape, the Arboretum has creative solutions for you. Purchase workshops individually. March 11-April 8, 2017, 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

    Join us in the Children's Garden for winter time fun! Daily through March 2017, in the Children’s Garden from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Weather permitting.
