Height: 30-50'  Spread: 30-50'  Habit/Form: Broad-spreading to irregular Growth Rate: Fast  Zone: 5-8

Cultural Requirements:  Full sun to part shade in a moist, well drained soil.  Tolerant of wet, dry and alkaline soils once established.

Ornamental Characteristics: A coarse-textured tree with large heart-shaped leaves.  Fragrant white flowers in upright clusters in early summer, followed by long, persistent seed pods.

Uses in the Landscape: Best in open spaces, parks and parkways.  This tree is very adaptable and tolerant of adverse conditions.


Plant tolerant of occasional or temporary flooding.
