Cultural Requirements: Cool moist soil, high in organic matter; best in part shade; flowers on old wood; benefit from mulch and winter protection in colder climates; somewhat drought resistant once established; prune annually in late winter to promote vigorous new growth
Ornamental Characteristics: Compact shrub with pink lacecap flowers; medium green leaves held on slender stems become purplish-red in the fall
