Cultural Requirements:
Best grown in organic rich, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade; blooms on new growth; can be trained as a single trunk tree, but is best grown as a large, multi-stemmed shrub; one of the most cold hardy of the hydrangea

Ornamental Characteristics: Upright, rapidly growing, somewhat coarsely textured, deciduous shrub; showy, white, fertile and sterile panicles turns purplish-pink with age; blooms late summer well into September; one of the last hydrangeas to bloom; dark green leaves with undistinguished, yellowish-tinged fall color

Landscape Use: in mass, hedges, foundation plantings or in mixed borders
