Height: 20-30' Spread: 20-30' Habit/Form: Pyramidal in youth to rounded with age Growth Rate: Fast (25 Inches or more a year) Zone: 3-6
Cultural Requirements: Best in full sun; well-drained soil; pH adaptable; heat sensitive, best in cold climates; may be difficult to find in nursery trade
Ornamental Characteristics: Best feature is attractive amber to reddish-brown flaking bark; casts light shade; 2-3" wide, flat, white flowers in early to mid-May; red maturing to black fruits in August
Use in the Landscape: Specimen tree or use in small groups
