Height: 6-10'  Spread: 6-10'  Habit/Form: Upright   Growth Rate: Medium  Zone:  3-9

Cultural Requirements:  Sun to part shade; prefers moist (to wet) acidic soil.  Tolerant of flooded area for extended periods of time.

Ornamental Characteristics: Dark, glossy green foliage, bright red, persistent fruit, maroon fall color, light gray stems; requires male and female plants for fruit set.

Uses in the Landscape: Use in a shrub border or mixed border

Birds Attracted: 20+ species including hermit thrush, thrashers, finches, and cardinal

Plant Appeal for Birds: Fruits ripen in fall and persist into winter

Aerial Salt Tolerance: Moderate degree of salt tolerance; use in low exposed areas
