Cultural Requirements: Full sun to shade; prefers moist, well-drained soil; native to the Midwest

Ornamental Characteristics: Inconspicuous purple flowers; attractive, 4-lobed reddish-pink fruit capsule with scarlet aril; dark green leaves change to an excellent pink fall color

Use in the Landscape: Good for naturalizing, in mass, screening or hedge
