Cultural Requirements: Sun; native on limestone cliffs and north- facing slopes; tolerant of clay soils

Ornamental Characteristics: fragrant white flowers; yellow to reddish purple fall color; orange fruit are attractive but messy.  Male trees are available

Uses in the Landscape:  Shade tree

Aerial Salt Tolerance: Moderate degree of salt tolerance; use in low salt areas
