Ornamental Characteristics: Showy, light pink to nearly purple flowers appear in mid-spring; can be subject to early frost damage; medium green leaves have paler underside; smooth to mottled gray bark; cone-like aggregate fruit ripens in late summer.

Aerial Salt Tolerance: Moderate degree of salt tolerance; use in low salt areas
