Height: 25-30' Spread 15-25' Habit/Form: Spreading Growth Rate: Medium (13 to 22 Inches a year) Zone: 4-9
Cultural Requirements: Full sun to light shade; moist, well drained soil high in organic matter; shallow rooted, water in dry periods; benefits with mulch layer for cool root environment; avoid hot windy sites
Ornamental Characteristics: Showy, light pink to nearly purple flowers appear in mid-spring; can be subject to early frost damage; medium green leaves have paler underside; smooth to mottled gray bark; cone-like aggregate fruit ripens in late summer
Use in the Landscape: Small specimen tree; can be used in groupings

Aerial Salt Tolerance: Moderate degree of salt tolerance; use in low salt areas
