Cultural Requirements: Plant in full sun, well-drained soil for best development. Plant is shallow-rooted and will benefits with layer of mulch for cool root environment; drought sensitive, water in dry conditions; spring planting best to allow root development

Ornamental Characteristics: In spring heart-shaped leaves emerge reddish-purple changing to blue green as they mature; fall color is a clear yellow or apricot color

Use in the Landscape: Excellent specimen or shade tree
