Height: 50-70' Spread: 50-60' Habit/Form: Pyramidal to rounded Growth rate: Medium/Fast  Zones: 4-8

Cultural Requirements: Full sun to light shade in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil; spring plant only.

Ornamental Characteristics: Wide-spreading branches, smooth gray bark, dark green leaves turn attractive yellow-brown in fall; flowers are singular, greenish-yellow and slightly fragrant; not as showy as other magnolias; interesting pinkish-red aggregate fruit pods.

Use in the Landscape: Excellent tree for large property; parks, golf courses, and naturalized areas; native to the Midwest
