Cultural Requirements: Prefers full sun and adapts easily to extremes in soil pH, moisture, and heat and wind tolerance.
Ornamental Characteristics: Symmetrical, pyramidal to oval crown with arching branches. Dark green foliage turns yellow in fall. USDA introduction shows good resistances to Dutch elm disease and elm yellow, but can be susceptible to elm leaf beetle.
Use in the Landscape: Good street tree form.
