Height: 6-9" Spread: up to 10' Habit/Form: Low, spreading Growth Rate: Slow Zone: 3-9

Cultural Requirements: Best in dry, well-drained soil in full sun. Established plants withstand drought and wind. Salt-tolerant. Resistant to most pests (including deer) and to cedar rust and juniper twig-blight diseases. Bagworm can be a problem.

Ornamental Characteristics: A low, spreading, densely-branched, male evergreen shrub with soft, rich green, scale-like foliage. Produces small, inconspicuous cones resembling catkins that produce pollen. Pollinator for J. sabina 'Broadmoor' and 'Skandia.'

Uses in the Landscape: Use as a year-round ground cover, in foundation plantings, on slopes, or in rock gardens.
