Form Winter form Needles

Height: 6-8' Spread: 4-5' Habit/Form: Conical, dense Growth Rate: Extremely slow Zone: 2-8

Cultural Requirements: Best in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade, sheltered from winter sun and winds that can cause desiccation and browning of leaves. Prefers slightly-acidic pH soil containing some organic matter, but will tolerate a wide range of soils, if well-drained. Established plants can tolerate short periods of drought. Little, if any, pruning required. Not salt tolerant. Deer resistant.

Ornamental Characteristics: An evergreen shrub with dense, fine-textured, soft, light-green, ½" needles. Resembles a small Christmas tree. Seldom produces cones. Usually available in a range of sizes.

Uses in the Landscape: Use in foundation plantings, in containers, in topiaries, as a specimen or accent plant in small gardens, or as a screening plant for tight spaces.
