Height: 2-3' Spread: 6-8' Habit/Form: Wide spreading, low and mounded
Growth Rate:
Slow to medium Zone: 4-8
Cultural Requirements: A very adaptable plant. Prefers full sun to part shade in poor to good soils that are slightly acidic to alkaline. Occurs naturally on dry gravelly sites, making it very drought tolerant.
Ornamental Characteristics: A popular shrub in the Midwest for its fall color and low-growing characteristics. Its aromatic, glossy green leaves turn a red-orange color in the fall.
Uses in the Landscape: Ideal as a ground cover or in mass, and is an excellent shrub to stabilize on banks and slopes.
