Height: 1-2' Spread: 1-2'  Habit/Form: Compact, low mound Growth Rate: Slow Zone: 4-7

Cultural Requirements: Best color in full sun, and retains purple color even in heat. Very adaptable and tolerant to dry, hot conditions.

Ornamental Characteristics: A small, compact barberry with deep purple, velvety leaves. Plants do not sucker.

Uses in the Landscape: Use in mass, as a specimen, or a mixed border. May be difficult to find in the nursery trade.
