Cultural Requirements: Prefers full sun but tolerant of part shade. Plants are very adaptable to different site conditions, but prefer well-drained soil.
Ornamental Characteristics: 'Rosy Glow' is possibly the most interesting of the reddish-purple barberries. The new foliage is rose-pink, mottled with deeper red-purple splotches, gradually turning a deep, reddish-purple color. Stems can be thorny. Fall color can be a bright red followed by crimson fruit in the fall.
Uses in the Landscape: Can be successful as a hedge, barrier or grouping.
