Cultural Requirements: Does well in loamy, fertile, well-drained soil and is pH adaptable. Prefers part to full shade, the flowers tend to fade if planted in the sun. In harsh winters, stem tips can die back. Flowers on old and new wood. Overgrown plants can be cut completely to ground after flowering.
Ornamental Characteristics: Golden yellow flowers open in April and May and continue to bloom sporadically throughout the summer. The bright green, arched stems add winter interest. Leaves are also a bright green.
Uses in the Landscape: Lovely in mass, or in perennial shade borders.
