Height: 25-30' Spread: 30-35' Habit/Form: Rounded Growth Rate: Medium Zone: 4-8

Cultural Requirements: Grows best in full sun to part shade in a well-drained, organic-rich soil. Site carefully away from strong winds to prevent flowers from shattering. Magnolias have shallow, fleshy roots that benefit with a 3-4-inch layer of organic mulch and supplemental water in dry periods.

Ornamental Characteristics: Dark purple flower buds open with a white interior; beautiful as a cut flower with a wonderful fragrance.

Uses in the Landscape: Use as a specimen plant, near a patio or deck.
