Cultural Requirements: Plants prefer full sun, and will grow in a wide range of soil conditions, especially wet sites. Freeman Maple- AUTUMN BLAZE® appears more drought tolerant than the species.

Ornamental Characteristics: A hybrid of silver and red maple with a strong central leader; better branching habit than silver maple; consistent orange-red fall color.

Uses in the Landscape: Excellent for street tree plantings or as a large shade tree; less susceptible to chlorosis symptoms (yellowing leaves) than red or silver maple.
