Knock Out Rose at The Morton Arboretum


Height: 3-4' Spread: 3-4' Habit/Form: Round compact bushy Growth Rate: Medium to slow Zone: Hardy
Cultural Requirements: Sun to light shade in moist, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. A hardy shrub rose, resistance to black spot that requires no dead heading. Can be trimmed to the ground to maintain compact form. Grown on own roots.
Ornamental Characteristics: Continuous blooms of large clusters of semi-double, deep cherry-red flowers. Flowers have a light rose scent. Bright orange-red hip in fall. Glossy leaves are burgundy-tinged, turning deep green. Black spot resistant.
Uses in the Landscape: Low growth hedge, in mass, or specimen plants.
