Height: 4-6' Spread: 4-6' Habit/Form: Compact, rounded Growth Rate: Medium Zone: 4-8
Cultural Requirements: Best in full sun to part shade, extremely hardy and adaptable to any well-drained soil. Flowers on old wood, prune after flowering.
Ornamental Characteristics: Dark burgundy-purple foliage and intense rosy-to-hot-pink tubular flowers add high contrast in the spring. Full sun ensures strongest color. Flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Foliage can be used as cut branch in floral arrangements.
Uses in the Landscape: Excellent accent or specimen plant in shrub borders, as a foundation plant, or even as a hedge.
