Cultural Requirements: Best in full sun to part shade, extremely hardy and adaptable to any well-drained soil. Flowers on old wood, prune after flowering.
Ornamental Characteristics: Dwarf, mounded form of Wine & Roses weigela. Dark burgundy-purple foliage with rosy-red tubular flowers, attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
Uses in the Landscape: Great in front of borders, groupings, rock garden or ground cover planting.
