2010 - Self-Guided Tours
On Your Own Program (K-6th grade)
Come and enjoy the Arboretum on your own. Explore the many hiking trails and vistas. Plan your own program, times and activities. Times and places depend on your schedule. In the winter snowshoes may be rented from the Visitor Center on the day of your visit, on a first-come, first-served basis. Snowshoes may not be reserved in advance. Contact the Visitor Center for rental information at 630-968-0074.
Backpack Programs (K-5th grade)
Arboretum Adventurers (K-2nd)
Tree-Mendous Trees (3rd-5th)
Groups of up to 15 children use materials supplied by the Arboretum to explore the grounds of the West side. Hands-on activities, songs/poems, tree "cookies", and games, plus an instructional booklet, are provided for scout/youth leaders to use with their group.
Opening April 9, 2010 is the one-of-a kind exhibition Steelroots: Tobin at The Morton Arboretum. Explore 12 massive sculptures of the abstract root form set amid the Conifer Collection.
Arboretum Fees – Self-Guided Programs
$5 per student
$15 non-refundable registration fee
2 adults free per group of 15 students, additional adults are $11 each
To enroll, complete the registration form and fax it to the Registrar at 630-719-2440. Registrations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. The Registrar Office requires a three week notice to plan your event. If you have questions please call the Registrar at 630-719-2468 (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:00pm)
