Lindsay Darling, MS

GIS and Data Specialist

Content Detail

Lindsay heads data analysis and mapping for the Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI) and is currently working on a project to identify tree species across the seven-county Chicago Region.

Lindsay turns her data analysis of urban landscapes into products that can be used by forest managers, tree stewards, and the broader public. These include interactive maps, flyers, and presentations. Lindsay also works to identify where tree plantings could have the biggest positive impact.

Her current project analyzes landscape characteristics, surface temperatures, air quality, and socio-economic and health variables to determine communities where specific tree plantings are the highest priority.
