Jason W. Miesbauer

Jason’s role at The Morton Arboretum is to research biomechanics, the architecture of trees, and applied arboriculture, which focuses on the growth, maintenance, and function of urban landscape trees. He is working with Gary Watson, Head of Research at The Morton Arboretum, to establish the new program.
Jason Miesbauer worked in tree care for several years before pursuing his doctorate at the University of Florida. He is an ISA Certified Arborist, has published several scientific articles on tree biomechanics, and has presented his research at a number of conferences and symposia.
