School Programs

Schools_Main_Simko_Looking_UpOur highly regarded Science Programs for Schools help kindergarten through high school teachers meet learning standards for their students through science-based nature discovery. Programs include:

  • Year-round guided field experiences presented in our 1,700 acres of outdoor museum. (Please click on the appropriate grade level in the list to the left.)
  • Guided laboratory experiences in fall, winter and spring presented in one of our on-site laboratory classrooms. (Please click on the appropriate grade level in the list to the left.)
  • Winter Outreach programs presented in your classroom for grades PreK-5.
  • Year-round: Self-guided programs in our 1,700 acres of outdoor museum are available all year for grades PreK-12.


Registration & Fee Information

Registration is now open for Fall, 2010 School Programs. 


Check out the
Teacher Resources section of our web site for support materials to celebrate Arbor Day in your classroom.  (Illinois celebrates Arbor Day on the last Friday in April.) These resources can also be used to teach about trees year round!
